9 Health Benefits of Eating Blueberry or Drinking Blueberry Juice Regularly

Blueberry is not only nice and delicious, but it has a lot of fascinating health benefits. Studies have shown that blueberries can even get rid of the fat around your middle and reduce your risk of getting some dangerous diseases at the same time.

1. Its low in fat - It has been shown that a cup of blueberries contains only 80 calories and almost no fat at all, they are very low in fat.

Fibres play a very important role in our diet; it helps with bowel movements, aids digestion, help to control cholesterol and help keep the heart in a healthy condition.

9. Contains B-complex vitamins - Blueberries also contain vitamins of the B-complex group such as niacin, pyridoxine, folates and pantothenin acid. It is said to have a very good amount of vitamin B-6, niacin, riboflavin, pantothenic acid and folic acid. These vitamins help the body to metabolize carbohydrates, protein and fats.

Also, they contain good amount of minerals such as potassium, manganese, copper, iron and zinc. Potassium is a very important component of the body’s cells and fluids that helps control heart rate and blood pressure.

Iron is required for the formation of red blood cells, Copper is required for the production of red blood cells, Manganese is used by the body as a co-factor for the antioxidant enzyme and superoxide dismutase.
